Following a delay of four years, a tender encompassing construction of a second container terminal at the south Indian port of Tuticorin is finally to go ahead. The original tender resulted in legal action by PSA-Sical, which had been excluded from bidding. The new terminal has an estimated cost of $67m and a capacity of 600,000 teu.
