HHLA Container Terminal Altenwerder (CTA) has confi rmed an order for seven battery-powered tractor units.
CTA states that the new electrifi ed equipment will save around 3000 tonnes of CO2, if compared with the existing diesel machines in use. The new units will support the ship-to-shore container gantry cranes and rail-mounted gantry cranes in the storage and rail areas which are already electrically powered.
