GreenPort Congress is a meeting place for the port community to discuss and learn the latest in sustainable environmental practice. This year’s #IAPH2026 will be held in London, UK, offering a programme of plenary, breakout and workshop sessions and a gala dinner celebrating the IAPH Sustainability Awards.	Coastlink is a neutral pan-European network dedicated to the promotion of short sea and feeder shipping, and the intermodal transport networks through the ports that support the sector. It is a place for industry professionals to meet and discuss future innovation, economic and environmental considerations – and develop partnerships that will help build a sustainable future.

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has signed an agreement that will see a 5G mobile network oﬀered at the Port of Singapore.

Maritime Singapore will soonsee 5G coverage, the phasing in ofthe Integrated Port Operations C3system and the launch of its ActiveAnchorage Management System

MPA has agreed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) for delivery of full maritime 5G coverage across all major anchorage points, terminals, fairways and boarding areas. Delivery is expected to be by mid-2025.

Quah Ley Hoon, Chief Executive, MPA, notes: “Digitalisation continues to shape and transform the maritime industry, acting as a key driver for global trends such as logistics, supply chain eﬃciency and decarbonisation. MPA is taking the lead to help build a robust digital maritime ecosystem for Maritime Singapore, with fast, secure and high capacity 5G connectivity as one of the cornerstones to support real-time data exchanges in the maritime domain.”

MPA has also confirmed the development of the Integrated Port Operations C3 (Command, Control and Communications) system (IPOC system) in collaboration with the Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA). The IPOC system will be progressively phased into operation, starting in 2023 and running through to 2026 as MPA upgrades its systems. It will enhance situational awareness and improve the eﬃciency and eﬀectiveness of incident responses.

Singapore is additionally launching its Active Anchorage Management System (AAMS) in Q3 2023, which will utilise data to optimise allocation of limited anchorage space for vessels. The key benefit here is that it ensures that a vessel is anchored safely while taking into consideration various conditions including the wind, tide, depth and proximity to hazards.
