Unique monitoring solution

A global offshore solution expert has been contracted by an LNG shipping company to deliver a ship optimisation package to its fleet to help reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

ADNATCO-NGSCO has gone for Marorka energy systems to save time and money and increase on efficiency

Unique System FZE will install Marorka energy management systems for the natural gas shipper, ADNATCO-NGSCO in order to save time and money and acheive an increase on efficiency in the fleet.

The first stage of the project will include installing the system onboard six of ADNATCO’s vessels – two LNG vessels, two bulk carriers and two oil tankers.

Dhia Hussein, project manager, ADNATCO-NGSCO, said: “The onboard support for this project in terms of installation and commissioning of the system will be instrumental in achieving the desired results.”

Marorka’s onboard energy management system and Marorka Online, a fleet reporting tool, gathers data from required instrumentation points and then presents vessel efficiency by way of a user-friendly interface.

It has the ability to provide real time information allowing the operator to make informed decisions relating to energy efficiency.

National Gas Shipping Company (NGSCO) was formed in December 1993 to transport liquefied natural gas (LNG) on behalf of Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Company (ADGAS). In 2009, the company’s supporting services were merged with ADNATCO under the umbrella of one management.
