Port of Dover welcomes EU-UK deal

The Port of Dover has expressed strong support for the new UK-EU deal announced on 19 May, marking a significant step forward in enhancing the vital economic relationship between the UK and Europe

As the UK’s main gateway for trade with the EU, handling approximately one-third of all UK-EU goods trade, Dover is well-positioned to benefit from the reductions in border frictions promised by the agreement.

The port is optimistic that new measures will be implemented quickly, facilitating smoother trade across the Channel.
