Yangkou Port has opened for business in China on a man-made Island in the Yellow Sea, which is linked to the mainland by a 30 kilometre causeway.
Initially, a single berth capable of accommodating 10,000 dwt ships is operational, although facilities will be expanded so that it can become a major distribution hub for ports and companies on the Yangtze River Delta.
