Marseilles Fos registered a slight 4% increase in container traffic for the first eight months of the year, buoyed by a 23% rise in traffic at its deepsea Fos terminal.
However, total cargo throughput at the port remained 13% down on last year at 55.7m tonnes despite "further signs of recovery in August", said the port.
