Contship appeal over Voltri upheld
The Italian government has upheld the appeal put forward by Contship Italia in respect of the award of the sixth module of Genova-Voltri container terminal to incumbent operator Voltri Terminal Europa (VTE), which belongs to the PSA group.
Contship Italia has successfully argued that the award of this concession should be as part of an open tender. This has been conceded by the port authority, which has agreed to implement the tender as soon as possible. The award is also currently the subject of a judicial investigation.
