Gottwald supplies Varna and Antwerp
Gottwald has recently delivered its first MHC to Bulgaria. The 100-ton HMK 300 E, Gottwalds current bestseller, will be operated as a container crane at Varna.
The Black Sea represents a significant potential market for Gottwald. “It was only last year that Gottwald entered the Romanian market with two units of the HMK 300 E, and now our long-standing efforts to conquer the Bulgarian market have also been rewarded, ” says regional sales manager HeinzGunter Hippler.
“With more than 40 cranes sold to Russia, Turkey, the Ukraine, Romania and now also Bulgaria, Gottwald is well on the way to become a major player in the Black and Marmara Sea region.”
And Gottwald is to supply automated stacking cranes (ASC) for the new P&O Antwerp Gateway Terminal at Deurganckdok, Antwerp. The stacker cranes will allow P&O to operate their container storage area automatically and to link up the ship-toshore equipment at their terminals to all hinterland storage areas, logistics systems and onward shipping facilities, including deep and shortsea traffic, inland waterways, road and rail.
