Barcelona bans hard copies

Rotterdam is investing an average of €150m per annum in the period 2002-2012.

The Port Authority of Barcelona is continuing its drive to operate a paperless port. Following an agreement with the two container terminals, TCB and Tercat, trucks will not be allowed to enter either establishment unless documents have been received electronically in advance. This measure was implemented as from October 1 although only applies initially between the hours of 19.00 and 20.00. Outside that time companies can continue using hard copy documents. As from August all companies dealing directly with the port authority had to do so electronically, not with hard copy documents.
