Biggest mobile crane in Europe
The largest mobile harbour crane in Europe has been delivered ready-for-use to RHB, the stevedoring and warehousing company, at Waalhaven North Side 4 in Rotterdam.
The Liebherr LHM 600 S has a 208 tonne lifting capacity, seven times the capacity of a conventional crane, and is the biggest model crane created so far. The unit has 13 axles and 104 wheels and can be deployed on any segment of RHB’s 730 metre long quay.
The improved crane capacity will contribute to a further increase in the handling of project cargo in the Port of Rotterdam.
Liebherr also recently celebrated the 200th order of a LHM 400 mobile harbour crane, which is to go to Patrick Stevedoring, Australia.
