Antwerp staff don jumpers
Antwerp Port Authority turned the office thermostat down two degrees and encouraged staff to put on a jumper last month as part of Belgiums annual Thick Sweater Day campaign.
The authority calculated that the act reduced CO2 emissions by 14% on that day and is investigating further emissions and energy costs savings by making the move permanent. This year, more than 600 companies and local authority departments took part in the annual event.
