Involved in the syndicate are Banco Sabadell, Barclays Capital, BNP Paribas, Fortis Bank, HSBC Bank, Santander and Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking, although a total of 22 financial institutions participated in the operation.

The 30-year-ban on Cypriot access to Turkish sea and airports remains in place following Turkey’s commencement of the EU membership process. No ship bearing the Cyprus flag has been allowed to dock in any Turkish port since 1974.
