Barcelona invites bids for Costa concession

It has invited Grimaldi and Baleària to bid for the concession, these being the only two companies that participated in an earlier public tender, which was declared deserted on December 15.

In July 2009, the port authority published a tender that received no bids. Later, it decided to ask incumbent operators to bid for the concession, although this later also became a public tender.

Now, just the two interested companies will bid.
