Annulled Liscont concession extension deemed illegal
The arbitration committee set up to decide whether Lisbon Port Authority was right in annulling the concession extension it granted to Liscont has ruled in favour of the terminal operator.
Liscont was originally given an extension from 2015 to 2042 only for this to generate major criticism from parliamentarians.
The committee observed that the port authority’s actions were, however, not legal.
Liscont must now await a ruling from the Constitutional Tribunal.
