Accolade for ABPs emissions reduction
Associated British Ports (ABP) has been awarded official certification by the Carbon Trust for reducing its carbon emissions by 8.3% between 2006 and 2008.
Some of its initiatives include regional Resource Efficiency Groups which look at the carbon picture across the company’s ports, and carbon-efficient investments in new facilities and equipment.
Further, ABP’s Humber Estuary Services introduced three new pilot launches which use 15% less fuel than their predecessors.
