Boost for Gdansk
The Polish deepwater container terminal DCT Gdansk has boosted its handling capabilities with the commissioning of three new Liebherr rubber-tyred gantry cranes (RTGs).
Training of new crane operators has also been completed and the terminal is now ready to handle the increased volume that was projected by Maersk Line’s switch to using the port as its Polish hub from Gdynia.
The new units are identical to the five cranes already in service at the port.
