Associated British Ports’ planning application for a dedicated two berth ro-ro terminal has been approved, paving the way for larger car carriers to dock. The new terminal will cater for ships carrying in excess of 3,000 cars.The Port of Grimsby and Immingham is already the UK’s busiest car-handling port, with over 565,000 units shipped in 2010.
