New year’s greetings from GreenPort

They demonstrate that this year has been transformative in the advancement of ports and terminal infrastructure, especially with regards to sustainability.

Moreover, they demonstrate how the industry has met opportunities and challenges which have occurred along the way.

Top story this year was when Pipavav was earmarked for a new green hydrogen ecosystem.

In second place was when work started on Scotland’s largest shorepower system at the Port of Aberdeen.

Third place went to MPA which launched a tender for a electric patrol craft to further decarbonise operations.

Last, but by no means least, it was our exclusive by Dave MacIntyre on Tauranga preventing a beachside ‘Dust Up’ by getting better with dust mitigation.

Happy new year

Looking ahead, 2025 is likely to be another remarkable year for us all, with plenty of new opportunities to explore, the upscaling of existing initiatives and the development of new ones.

Everyone within the PS and GP family is excited about the prospects that the New Year will bring.
