Kalmar has new branding to reflect its position as a separate company. It has debuted on the Nasdaq Helsinki following former parent company Cargotec choosing to separate its core businesses, Kalmar and Hiab. The partial demerger was completed on July 1, 2024 to enable Kalmar shares to begin trading on the Finnish stock exchange. Initial market capitalisation was €1.74bn (US$1.87bn).
