Lawsuit threatened over stalled Kwinana port

The Western Australian Government is being sued for over A$1bn (US$1.03bn) by building entrepreneur Len Buckeridge over a stalled port project.

The James Point Pty Ltd (JPPL) consortium has sought to build a new container, bulk and general purpose port near Kwinana to compete with Fremantle but has met with government refusals to adhere to a 2000 agreement to allow JPPL to develop its operation.
