Legal problems stall Vizhihjam box terminal project
Developer Lanco Kondapally Power Limited has withdrawn from the project to build the proposed Vizhinjam container terminal.
The Kerala government is now taking legal advice on whether it could ask other qualified bidders to assume responsibility for the project, if they were prepared to accept the same terms offered to the original developer. The port authority has stated that there were already two other technically qualified bidders: Videocon Industries and Nagarjuna Construction.
