Maersk departure hits Alicante

Maersk has withdrawn its South Iberia feeder service from the port of Alicante after just three months.

This linked Alicante with Orán, Cartagena, Algeciras, Melilla and Lisbon. The company cited “a lack of cargo”.

The service generated around 300 containers a month.
