New Chilean deep water port confirmed

The Chilean government is preparing a tender for a new deepwater port in its central area.

The state will invest $200m in this project, which it wants to see completed by midway through the next decade.

Its role will be to de-congest existing ports at Valparaiso and San Antonio.
