Sweden''s Helsingborgs Hamn AB, which manages the port of Helsingborg, is rumoured to be in merger talks with the cross-border port authority of Copenhagen Malmö.
A letter of intent is being signed to examine the possibility of such a move, creating a single port authority with the aim of founding a major hub in the Øresund region.
Such a move, it is hoped, will boost revenue and reduce operating costs.
