Noble selects Magenta
Magenta Technologys intelligent scheduling and continuous planning application, i-Scheduler, has been selected by supply chain manager Noble Group to facilitate co-ordination of its logistics operations.
High oil prices and international moves to support environmentally friendly product and services were key drivers in the creation of this cranes, according to the company.
Based on advanced multiagent technology, i-Scheduler will enable Noble Group to co-ordinate complex logistics chains connecting the mining of raw materials to loading barges and then loading bulk carriers. The software supports team-based business processes and drives re-scheduling to minimise the impact of unexpected events, delays and uncontrollable conditions such as severe weather.
Jonathan Himoff, ceo of Magenta Technology, says: “The purpose of i-Scheduler is to enable operations teams to make better decisions faster.”
