OceanScore
In shipping today, environmental regulation has become a maze of acronyms: EU ETS, FuelEU Maritime, UK ETS and more. For many owners, managers, ports and financiers, it feels like a bureaucratic cost center – complex, risky, and constantly changing.
OceanScore exists to flip that script. Our mission is simple: turn regulatory compliance into commercial success for the maritime industry.
We’re a maritime technology and data company focused on emissions compliance. Our software and datasets sit at the commercial heart of regulation – helping shipping companies, ports and financial institutions not only stay compliant, but make better decisions and protect margins in a volatile world.
For owners and managers, our Compliance Manager is the market‑leading platform for managing EU ETS, FuelEU and related schemes. It automates complex workflows between owners, managers and charterers, gives full transparency on regulatory exposure and cash flows, and includes modules for forecasting, EUA trading and a FuelEU pooling marketplace. Today, it supports more than 100 customers and 2000 vessels on a daily basis.
For ports and shipping companies, we manage the Environmental Ship Index (ESI) – the globally leading port incentive scheme that connects port discounts with cleaner vessels. ESI is owned by the ESI Foundation, backed by IAPH, and operated by OceanScore. More than 7.200 vessels and more than 100 ports are part of it.
Ports get a trusted, ready‑made framework to tackle Scope 3 emissions and reward greener tonnage. Shipping companies get a very low‑barrier way to turn existing technical and operational improvements into recurring port fee savings across more than a hundred participating ports.
Alongside ESI, our PortView solution provides ports with a waterproof emissions baseline and a continuous measurement framework to track progress towards decarbonization goals.
For banks, insurers and investors, our ShipReview solution provides portfolio‑level visibility on the environmental performance of global fleets.
Behind all this is a team with deep shipping, data and regulatory expertise, based in key maritime hubs and backed by leading industry players and venture investors.
