Los Angeles approves US$2.6bn budget

The Los Angeles Harbor Commission has approved a budget of US$2.6 billion to help the port modernise infrastructure, drive decarbonisation and develop the workforce

The approved budget for 2024/2025 predicts a rise of 2% in throughput to 9.1 million teu, resulting in a 4.9% increase in revenue.

The funds will be used for major infrastructure works, decarbonising port activities and supporting workers.
