The Port of Oakland is testing the feasibility of zero-emission freight hauling

The boss of the Port of Oakland has outlined proposed infrastructure and environmental projects that will ‘reframe the shipping and transportation’ in northern California

At his annual State of the Port 2024 address, executive director, Danny Wan, highlighted the importance of projects such as widening the turning basins, modernising the airport terminals and a whole raft of measures to support the port in achieving its net-zero ambitions.
