Riga terminal invests in automated containers

A terminal in Riga has bought six Graviti self-discharging containers following a successful two-year trial

After renting Graviti’s automated dry bulk containers for two years, the Riga Central Terminal in Latvia has decided to buy six SDC40 units, upgrading from the smaller SDC30 model.

The terminal also has an option to buy six more in the future. Several other ports in northwest Europe, eastern Europe and the Middle East have also expressed an interest, says Graviti.
