Paceco commits to Vycon
Container crane manufacturer Paceco has agreed with Vycon to promote Vycon’s Regen technology to its existing and prospective RTG customers – as an option on new cranes or a retrofit on existing cranes.
Currently, Paceco operates approximately 100 cranes in the California ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, along with hundreds of others in ports worldwide. The company is committed to “greening” the ports through technology such as Regen for RTG cranes. ” A new white paper released by Vycon, in conjunction with Yantian International Container Terminal (YICT) in Shenzhen, China, and Hutchison Port Holdings in Hong Kong, presents the findings of a three phase test to determine the amount of fuel savings realized by utilizing Vycon’s REGEN flywheel energy storage system on a typical RTG crane.
