PARANAGUA TO OPEN NEW TERMINALS
The Secretariat of Ports wants these new concessions to be awarded as soon as possible so that existing terminal operators do not have to seek extensions to their existing contracts. In fact, attempts by Cargill to extend its existing concession at the end of last year were vetoed by the Port Authority
The Brazilian port authority of Paranagua and Antonina has begun work on a 66,000 sq metre area where new terminals for the handling of general cargo and liquid bulk (especially industrial alcohol) will be located at a cost of US$515,700.
