Popular tyre handler goes OTR

The Easy Gripper 2400-2T is based on the same design as Just Easy Tools’ one-tonne Gripper, which is currently being used to move tyres in production lines, distribution and service companies globally.

A spokesperson for Just Easy Tools said: “We have been selling a number of one-tonne Easy Grippers. This is usually big enough to handle all AGRO tyres, and a lot of customers were enthusiastic about the design, but since we have entered the market for OTR tyres, we have had a big demand for a bigger version of our Gripper to handle the heavier OTR tyres.

“This new two-tonne version is the first of several steps, where we upgrade our Grippers to bigger and bigger versions. This new version can handle OTR tyre service operations up to 35 inch tyres and with extended arms it can also handle single tyres up to e.g. 27.00R49.”

The Easy Gripper 2400-2T has been designed for use with both forklifts, front loaders and truck cranes, the company added. The test phase concluded successfully, meaning the next step for Just Easy Tools will be to test the product in underground mining settings.
