A total of 2,500 port workers at the Chilean port of San Antonio have now been on indefinite strike since September 24, having failed to persuade the government to meet their demands.
Talks continue with the Interior Ministry in respect of disability pensions introduced in 2010, which have affected thousands of workers at the port.
Container terminal operator STI hoped an agreement would be reached swiftly, recognising that all possible actions were being taken.
