Shiploader for narrow quay work in Peru
A new flexible narrow quay installation to load copper and gold ores for the Gold Fields La Cima facility at the Port of Salaverry in Peru has been commissioned from B&W Mechanical Handling.
The heavy duty 900 tonnes per hour unit has an integrated 180 degree slewing feeder enabling it to discharge off either side of the quay.
Mounted on a single chassis the shiploader allows both powered in-line and parallel movement, and the high level of mobility makes the unit ideal for operations on narrow quays and finger jetties with widths as small as 15 metres
