Before the end of 2023, APM Terminals Barcelona will be generating 7.5 per cent of its electricity due to an extension of 1210m2 of its solar arrays. Over the past year, the terminal’s existing 980 solar panels produced 565,000 kWh of energy, equivalent to just over 5.1 per cent of its total electrical consumption. APM Terminals has confirmed its aim is to decrease greenhouse gas emissions by 70 per cent by 2030 and hit zero by 2040.
