The city of Wuhan is to invest $731m on the creation of a mega-terminal port complex, whose go-ahead has been approved by the state government.
The aim is to create a facility capable of handling 10m teu or in excess of 100m tonnes annually. A total of 18 projects associated with the scheme are to go ahead this year, including construction of 17 terminals, as well as rail and road access facilities.
