Brazil''s National Transport Confederation (CNT) has labelled Brazilian ports as among the slowest and most costly in the world.
This they put down to inadequate infrastructure, high taxes, unnecessary bureaucracy and poor road and rail access.
It costs $200 on average to handle a single container, compared with just $110 in Europe.
