European Union regulation is set to redefine port operations, port economics and operational resilience across short sea shipping over the next decade.

Speaking on day two of this year’s Coastlink conference, Johan-Paul Verschuure, maritime entrepreneur and director/partner, Rebel Ports and Logistics, warned delegates that an increasingly complex regulatory framework will fundamentally shape investment, fuel choices and infrastructure planning for the European maritime sector.
