RWB plans to build a 1,000ft ferry pier and man-made island that will allow cruise ships to bring day trippers from Miami.

Among the critics to speak out against the project was a Florida based ocean engineer with 35 years’ experience – Ronald Coddington from Civil Construction Technologies. He was adamant that proper steps were not being taken to prevent silt from killing off marine life on the reefs.
