The European Sea Ports Organisation (ESPO) will continue its long-term support of GreenPort Congress and Cruise this year.
ESPO was established in 1993 as an independent lobby for seaport interests. Over the years it has become the voice of seaports in the European Union.
Based in Brussels its membership consists of port authorities, port administrations and port associations of the seaports of the European Union and Norway. The organisation is also open to observer members from countries neighbouring the EU (Albania, Iceland, Israel, Montenegro, Ukraine and United Kingdom).
EcoPorts, the main environmental initiative of the European port sector, is fully integrated into the European Sea Ports Organisation (ESPO) and is also a valued supporter of GreenPort Congress and Cruise. The founding principle of EcoPorts is to create a level playing field on environment through cooperation and sharing of knowledge between ports.
