About ESPO and EcoPorts

Founded in 1993, ESPO acts as the independent voice of seaport interests within the European Union. Based in Brussels, the organisation represents port authorities, administrations, and associations from EU member states and Norway. ESPO also welcomes observer members from neighbouring countries including Albania, Iceland, Montenegro, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom.

EcoPorts, the environmental arm of ESPO, plays a central role in promoting sustainable port practices. As a key partner of the GreenPort Congress, EcoPorts is built on the principle of collaboration—encouraging ports to share knowledge and best practices to create a level playing field in environmental management.
