CLK - CLK Live Speakers Sept 2021

The second session of Coastlink Live will discuss the key topic of Short Sea Feeder Shipping: Navigating through road-freight supply chain challenges, looking at the opportunities for expanding short sea feeder services to alleviate pressure on long haul road freight.

The Port of Antwerp, as host port to the in-person event on 11 &12 May 2022, will deliver the welcome address. Justin Atkin, UK & Ireland Representative at Port of Antwerp will set the scene on the impact the truck driver shortage is having on re-engineering supply chains with a distinct shift to short sea and coastal shipping.

This session will once again be chaired and moderated by Nick Lambert, Director of NLA International. Nick will be joined by our panel of experts:

  • John Lucy, Head of International Transport at the Road Haulage Association
  • Richard Newton, Commercial Director Logistics, at the Port of Tyne
  • David Cook, Group Logistics Manager, at TATA Consumer Products

Learn from our panel how the supply chain is evolving with changing geography and modal shift, trends towards coastal and short shipping for a greener, faster, and more efficient supply chain, and the challenges and opportunities for port centric operations.

Register today for Coastlink Live and join industry professionals from shipping lines, freight forwarders, port authorities and terminal operators, logistics & supply chain, and short sea feeder services at this next online event.
