Rik Goetinck, General Director Policy & Strategy, Port of Antwerp-Bruges to open GreenPort Congress & Cruise.
We are delighted to announce that Rik Goetinck, General Director Policy & Strategy, Port of Antwerp-Bruges, the 2022 host port will welcome delegates to the GreenPort Congress & Cruise conference.
Taking place on 18th – 20th October 2022, GreenPort Congress & Cruise will focus Green Solutions for Sustainable Ports by 2030. Port of Antwerp-Bruges is striving towards a leading position as an import hub for green hydrogen and will play an active and pioneering role in the hydrogen economy in addition to exploring methods of applying CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilisation & Storage). A very fitting host port for the 17th Greenport Congress and Cruise.
Rik Goetinck has been General Director Policy & Strategy at Port of Zeebrugge (MBZ) (currently Port of Antwerp-Bruges) since 1st of February 2012. From 16th of December 2019 to 30th of September 2020 he was CEO ad interim at MBZ and Chairman of the Executive Committee. This was pending the appointment of a new CEO. Apart from handling and following up his own files, his task within Port of Antwerp Bruges consists largely of supporting the three-member executive committee (CEO, COO, CCO) in various strategically important areas.
Joining Rik at GreenPort are expert speakers from shipping lines, operators, ports and terminal operators, as well as shipping and port associations.
