Port Otago has filed a resource consent application to deepen and widen its harbour channel, dispose of dredging spoil and extend wharves and berths. Expected to cost NZ$100m (US$70.7m), the project is aimed at preparing for the next-generation of containerships.

GreenPort Congress is a meeting place for the port community to discuss and learn the latest in sustainable environmental practice.
