Cavotec has appointed Christoffer Robertsson as its new chief financial officer with effect from 17 August 2026 as the company continues to strengthen its leadership team and pursue growth opportunities.
Robertsson succeeds Joakim Wahlquist, who is leaving the company for another assignment. Wahlquist will remain with Cavotec until 10 September 2026 to support a smooth transition.

Robertsson brings extensive international experience in finance, business control and performance management across industrial and project-driven organisations. Most recently, he served as chief financial officer of NOVO Energy, the battery venture originally established by Northvolt and Volvo Cars, where he built the finance function from the ground up.
Prior to that, he held senior finance roles at ABB, Norwegian construction company Spenncon, and Northvolt, where he led finance and project control for Northvolt Ett, the company’s first gigafactory in Skellefteå.
“Christoffer’s extensive international experience in business development and performance management in industrial environments and project organisations makes him well-suited to the role of CFO of Cavotec,” said David Pagels, chief executive of Cavotec.
“He will be a key person in continuing to build a stronger Cavotec and create value for our stakeholders.”
Born in 1986, Robertsson holds a Bachelor of Business Management in International Business from the University of Queensland and a Master of Business in Applied Finance from Queensland University of Technology in Australia.
“Cavotec is a leading international engineering company that contributes to reducing carbon dioxide emissions in ports and industrial environments,” said Robertsson.
“I look forward to contributing to the development of Cavotec and being part of an innovative, industrial business.”
The appointment comes as Cavotec continues to focus on technologies aimed at supporting more sustainable operations in ports and industrial environments worldwide.
