Slowdown in Yangtze Delta
Ports in the Yangtze River Delta have reported a slowdown in container throughput growth in the first half of this year.
Although they handled 23.25m teu, this was only an increase of 16.6% over last year, which was a decline of 13% overall.
The slowing of traffic has been blamed on the financial crisis in the US banking sector and the global economic to slowdown.
