Tom Hennig

Tom is a business lawyer with expertise in building and strategically developing companies. His career began as Managing Director of a specialized consulting firm that successfully supported the public sector and international transactions. Following this, Tom took over the leadership of B2B Sales and Business Development at a leading German health insurance company, where he implemented innovative growth strategies. 

Since 2022, Tom has been part of the VentusVentures Group. Initially serving as Chief Legal Officer (CLO) responsible for the Legal and M&A departments at eMIS, which is focused on sector coupling between public transport (ÖPNV) and the energy sector. Since 2024, Tom has held the position of Chief Strategy Officer for the entire VentusVenutres Group, where he drives the development of forward-looking business models. His focus is on sector coupling, intelligently linking energy with other industries. 

Since the summer of 2024, Tom has also served as Managing Director of Ventus Maritime. In this role, he is responsible for the company’s development and growth, offering innovative solutions for port operators and shipping companies through a mobile shore power system. This system is closely connected to the energy market via a in-house developed energy management system, creating forward-thinking synergies between maritime operations and energy supply.
