In 2024, our Teesport Bulks Terminal was named Best Dry Bulk Port at the International Bulk Journal Awards, a global recognition of our investment in world-class infrastructure, including a 300,000 sq ft warehouse, 890 metres of deep-water quay, and rail-connected bulk freight facilities.
Our role goes beyond port operations. As the Statutory Harbour Authority for the River Tees and Hartlepool, a port complex handling over 28 million tonnes of cargo annually, supporting 22,000 jobs in the wider supply chain and contributing £1.4 billion to the economy.
At PD Ports we’re responsible for the safe management of river traffic, maintaining channel depth, overseeing river operations, and operating our own Harbour Police. We have a duty to safeguard the river and its users and to create a thriving legacy for future generations.
