At present users pay one charge per location currently set at £1,000 meaning that users who have customers across many locations may end up paying as much as £20,000. Under the new model, MCP is introducing a new all-access subscription with a flat rate of £4,000 which gives access to all ports served by the platform.

Customers who only require a presence in one, two or three communities, and wish to remain on the more modular plan may continue to pay per community.

“MCP has grown rapidly in recent years, more than doubling our user numbers,” said Steve Lamb, general manager of Maritime Cargo Processing.

“We have supported customers through the complexities of the new post-Brexit border requirements, whilst increasing functionality and back-office support.

“Now, we are launching a new subscription model which will simplify and streamline access for users.”

The new Destin8 subscription will be available from 31 March 2024.
